In 1987, with ten years prior woodworking experience each, Vic Eicker and his partner Ken Griner started High Desert Woodworks. In April, 2002 a terrible fire suspended operations until that fall. That October Vic purchased Ken's interest in High Desert.

Our commitment to quality and customer service is still our primary motivation. Our experience in sales, design, production and service has enabled us to provide quality cabinetry to contractors and homeowners for nearly 20 years. We use the best quality materials, and components to create custom casework for every application.

We chose the European method of cabinet construction because it is the most modern and efficient method available to cabinetmakers. We return to traditional face frame construction in building bookcases and furniture. Our European cabinets feature easy to clean melamine interiors, top quality hardware such as concealed hinges and self closing drawer glides. You can see examples of our award winning work in our showroom, where various door designs, wood species, and color choices can be compared. Our work speaks for itself!

In addition to our custom cabinets we offer semi-custom factory built cabinets by Bridgewood, Showplace, Huntwood, and vanties by Wood Pro. These lines provide various alternatives in cost, features, and timetable to meet our client's needs.

In January of 2004, with an eye towards truly meeting the wants and needs of our customers, we expanded the business by purchasing DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen. A nationwide remodeling franchisor. DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen has approximately 105 independently owned and operated franchises. DreamMaker offers our customers a complete line of remodeling ranging from cosmetic makeovers all the way to a complete new kitchen or bath.
